If we are successful in uniquely identifying the address, it will be returned to you standardized to meet Canada Post's criteria for Address Accuracy. The program will correct street and city mis-spellings, and will correct or add street types and directionals, as well as Postal Codes.
If we find multiple address solutions to your request, they will all be returned by the program. You can also enter just a Postal Code (you must leave the other fields blank), and the program will show you the range of addresses that it serves.
Not all valid addresses are resolvable so feel free to experiment, but if you have questions you should read our detailed discussion on Address Correction.
If you are looking up Quebec addresses do not include the accents in the street or city names as this may prevent your address from being found. You will also find that hyphens in the correct places in city names can make a difference in our success rates on Quebec searches.
If you find this service useful and have a large database (anywhere from one thousand to ten million addresses) please
contact us for our pricing on batch correction. Files can be sent to us on diskette, tape or via the Internet, and yes we support the use of PGP encryption.
